This Tuesday, MOBILITY ADO, socially responsible company, and leader on integral mobility, through its brands ADO, OCC y Estrella de Oro, launched “Caravana Rosa 2022”; an initiative that allows breast cancer diagnosis and treatment in Mexico while promoting early detection.
The presentation of a commemorative pink bus to raise breast cancer awareness globally was on Mexico City’s Casa Lamm, where executives from FUCAM, TELASIST, SCANIA, FUNDACIÓN ADO and its allies as well as the media met to reinforce their commitment for the health and well-being of women.
Caravana Rosa on its 11th edition will have their pink units traveling through Mexico’s hubs to start their campaign and increase awareness on their message “Nuestro recorrido empieza aquí” (Our travel starts here) and, during October, November and December will carry out free mastographies to all women over 40 in Mexico’s Central, South, Southeast and the Gulf regions.
“It has been 11 years since the Caravana Rosa began. More than 12,000 free mastographies over more than a decade; and more than 2,500 women have received support in transportation for the follow-up of their treatment. When one sees or hears these figures, one is undoubtedly proud and applauds all the effort that goes into achieving these results and support for Mexican women,” said Valeria Garcia, ADO’s Public Relations and Campaigns Manager.
Caravana Rosa and its brands
After the initiative’s tour, MOBILITY ADO’s brands ADO, OCC and Estrella de Oro have made over 12,000 studies and, in 2022 will deliver access passes in several hubs such as Puebla, Pachuca, Campeche, Villahermosa, Mérida, Veracruz, and Cancún. These passes could be redeemed by hundreds of women to have a mastography, besides having a mastograph unit in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Xalapa and Chilpancingo.
It’s worth mentioning that ADO, OCC and Estrella de Oro will offer free transportation to Mexico City for those women who require it to attend to the Breast Cancer Foundation (FUCAM) to have punctual follow-ups to their treatment.
In addition, following up on the search for the well-being of the population and through the social branch of the brand, FUNDACIÓN ADO, in collaboration with corporate volunteers, offers talks about treatment, self-examination, early detection and workshops to raise awareness of this disease, including visits to foundations that manufacture oncological wigs, besides to the “Trenzatón” initiative that promotes the donation of hair at the more than 60 terminals for this purpose.
“For FUNDACIÓN ADO it is important to walk through the entire process for women who have to deal with this disease, and not only for them, but also for their families, thinking about before, during and after with the objective of making them feel accompanied. As MOBILITY ADO social branch, we promote several actions to complement the Caravana Rosa initiative, taking a message of solidarity to all corners of the country,” said Andrés Perez Peña, General Manager of FUNDACIÓN ADO at MOBILITY ADO.
To cope with this disease via mobility
According to the WHO, breast cancer represents the first cause of death by this disease in women and, in recent years, the total toll has increased at an alarming rate. Because of that, besides an early detection, Caravana Rosa has become a key initiative to face this disease through mobility.
